During the other days we focus on TestStand. You will learn how to use this test management platform for validation and production testing. Using TestStand removes the need to build and maintain custom in-house test sequencers, saving significant development time.

Why Use a Test Executive?
Test executive software automates test procedures, saving operators time and ensuring repeatability compared to manual testing. A test executive coordinates hardware, manages sequencing and expedites reporting. This enables parallel testing and repeatable measurements, leading to a reduction in labour costs and faster time-to-market.
Should You Build or Buy?
On the positive side, building a test sequencer from scratch enables ultimate control over its capabilities. However, this approach also requires a significant amount of development and testing time. Not only that, you also take on the burden of maintaining the software and training others to use it effectively.
Using an established commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) test executive allows you to leverage software capability that has already been developed and stringently tested.
