NC-10 tool kit- Getting Started

Novator Solutions NC-10 Tool Kit supports two National Instruments hardware families: NI FlexRIO™ (including PXIe-7975 and
PXIe-7976) and USRP™ (National Instruments USRP-2955).

NC-10 includes for both hardware families an FPGA bitfile, which contains the channelizer functionality, and a National Instruments LabVIEW™ API to configure the channelizer and fetch the channelized data.

Additionally, the USRP version ships with NC-10 Configuration Suite which consists of a server program that is controlled with TCP/IP commands, as well as client programs that are used for configuring the server and reading channel data.

There are a few alternate methods to get access to the software. Due to the inherent differences in the hardware families, installation and getting started procedures are different for the USRP and the FlexRIO flavours of the toolkit.

This document provides basic information on the distribution of the installation files, as well as links to getting started documentation.

NC-10 Toolkit for FlexRIO

NC-10 uses VI Package Manager™ (VIPM, included with LabVIEW) to distribute the installation files. The package file, NC-10_x.x.x.vipm , is located on the USB-stick if you purchased the bundle directly from Novator Solutions but it can also be downloaded from the  LabVIEW Tools Network.

To use the full functionality of NC-10 you will also need to download and run the NC-10 FlexRIO Licensing Manager.

To verify your system requirements, to install, license and get up and running with the toolkit, refer to the Getting Started section in the NC-10 Toolkit Manual.  

NC-10 Toolkit for USRP

NC-10 uses VI Package Manager™ (included with LabVIEW) to distribute the installation files. The package file, NC-10_x.x.x.vipm, is located on the USB-stick if you purchased the bundle directly from Novator Solutions but it can also be downloaded from the LabVIEW Tools Network.

To use the full functionality of NC-10 you will also need to download run the NC-10 USRP Licensing Manager and USRP Network Configurator.

These applications are also installed automatically with the NC-10 Configuration Suite (see below).
To verify system requirements, to install, license and get up and running with the toolkit, refer to the Getting Started section in
NC-10 Toolkit Manual.

NC-10 Configuration Suite for USRP

Download the NC-10 Configuration Suite, including NC-Server, which also contains the client applications as built-in soft front panels, as well as example code in LabVIEW, C, Python and MATLAB for creating own client applications.

NC-Config, which is used for remote configuration of NC-Server.

NC-Channel, which is used to read the channelized data.

NC-10 Configuration Suite Manual.
